Inch House is a family run business since 1989 where the Egan family run an award winning restaurant, country house and farm in the heart of Co. Tipperary.
The owners, John, Nora and family, strive for excellence in every aspect of their business winning farmhouse of the year in 2014 and Inch House has been on the 100 best places to stay in Ireland since 1995.
In 2009 and a changing economic climate Nora started to make and sell the now famous Inch House Traditional Black Pudding. She started locally and the demand grew quickly for this tasty superfood. Nora called in the help of her daughter Mairin Byrne to manage this part of the business and now they sell to over 80 shops nationwide. This handcrafted pudding is passed down from mother to daughter, as Nora’s 97 year old mother, Mrs. Mary Ryan, takes pride in her old world recipe being sold all over Ireland.
Using old methods and locally sourced ingredients Inch House Black Pudding is a culinary experience to savour and can be enjoyed on its own or as an excellent compliment to many other native artisan products.
Inch House pudding is very different to the majority of black puddings on the market as our Traditional Black Pudding is made with fresh pig’s blood and each piece is hand made, cut, packed and labelled in small quantities to order each week. It is available to retail shops in 300g packs and to Foodservice outlets in 1.2kg packs in the following varieties:
Traditional black pudding
Gluten free black pudding
White pudding with bacon lardons
Black & white together
